RICK WAPLES

I was born on a cattle ranch south of Red Lodge, Montana. The small village is located at the base of the beautiful majestic Beartooth Mountain Range of the Rockies., sixty miles northeast of Yellowstone Park. I am so lucky to continue to live here.

I served in the United States Army during the Vietnam war as an infantryman with the Wolfhounds, 25th Infantry Division. I’m a combat veteran, baptized in blood, ordained in fire and steel.

I have many dark thoughts and dreams of my war days. To help me fight those thoughts and dreams, I found that writing music is my savior in holding my mind together.
